The Headbangers Balls tour-Day 2

Saturday 13th July
Bristol Exchange

Me n Jon got up about 10am so we could get some breakfast before we set off to Bristol. No sign of the others yet so we carried on without them.Just as we were finishing,Ed,Cleaver (our soundman) and Geoff rolled up for their breakfast.Lazy fuckers.

Today was Bristol. It was a half dayer with 8 bands playing. Now,from past experience these kinds of gigs can either be awesome or a fucking nightmare!Luckily it turned out fucking awesome!
We rolled up about 13:00 and stood around outside the venue for an hour waiting for them to open and it was good to see all the other bands were turning up on time too.Eventually, they let us in and we set the gear up,sound checked the drums briefly and let Welcome Home Delta set up.
Whats making this tour work so well apart from Pilko,is the cooperation from the other bands. There doesn't seem to be any egos trying to get through and everyone is behind the cause 100%.And it's great to see people turning up early to see the bands too.

Welcome Back Delta opened the show

Once again, each band was awesome.Pilko had got the running order bang on with Welcome Back Delta opening the show. The perfect mix of Stoner style, classic rock, death metal, and classic thrash going on throughout the day at just the right times.
We went on and I had the time of my life!It was prob the best gig I've ever played in terms of how I felt.I had chills running down my spine during the whole gig.So much so that I was laughing the whole time. Now, my adrenalin is very hard to control at the best of times. It makes me play a hell of a lot faster than usual so I had to try n calm down a bit so the others didn't struggle playing but they kept up with me so all was cool. The crowd response was wicked too, with a decent pit and crowd participation in all the right places.

Seprevation closed the show and once again they were a band that well deserved the headlining slot. They kicked ass.Metal bands look so much better on stage when it actually looks like they're having a good time, and Seprevation do look like they're having a good time.Great show.
Seprevation enjoying their work!

With them done we packed our gear away, had a photo and fucked off.Again it was a super disco load out so we did it quick. We were heading back to Cheltenham for the night as it's only up the road.Plymouth was next.
